Larch Class 2024 - 2025

Larch Class trip to The Church of the Good Shepherd

In Larch Class, we look for engaging and practical ways to help us to understand our maths and writing. Take a look at some of our sentence work and maths activities from autumn term.

Pizza Express

Year 3 had a fabulous time at Pizza Express in Fleet learning how to make pizzas for our DT topic. They were allowed to shape the dough, spread the tomato and sprinkle the cheese before staff put them in the ovens. Of course, the best bit was eating them!

Learning how to estimate and count in groups of 10

Larch Class 2023 - 2024

Larch Class went to Pizza Express to learn more about pizza making as part of our DT topic. We found out many facts such as the most tomatoes being grown in China and the biggest recorded tomato weighing 3.5kg. Each of us got to make a pizza and we enjoyed eating them for our lunch! Thank you Pizza Express!

On the 15th November we walked to the Church of the Good Shepherd to learn more about Angels. This links to our RE topic. We found out about Herald, listened to the Christmas story and learnt about the Advent Candles.

We were visited today by the ladies who help run the Farnham Museum. They came to teach us about artefacts and how museums look after them. We had to help sort out the items and were very careful, wearing our gloves and handing things  respectfully. What a lot of fun trying to work out what all the artefacts were!
