Home Learning

If you find yourself in a situation where your child needs to isolate e.g. they are showing symptoms and you are waiting to get them tested or to find out about results, please use these learning materials to support.  Someone from school will be in touch to discuss this with you.

Reading at Home

Learning to read is one of the most important skills that children need to develop so that they can access learning and be well prepared for the next stage in their learning journey. At Cherrywood School we encourage all of our children to read at home as often as possible so that they can practise the skills that they learn in class and develop their fluency, accuracy and understanding. In order to engage and inspire the children to read we try hard to foster a love of reading and promote bedtime stories.

Oxford Owl has produced a range of ebooks that are available for you to read at home.  You will need to sign up for a free account and then you will have access to a wide range of reading material. https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/
