Homework
At Cherrywood we do not set weekly homework, however we encourage parent support as we feel parent involvement plays an important part in your child's learning and progress.
Please support your child's learning by completing short activities with them throughout the week. You do not have to do all the activities on the same day or for a long period of time.
Here are some suggestions:
- Please complete DAILY reading using your child's reading book. Please note the questions and words to practise at the beginning of the book before start reading the book.
- Writing - pratise some letter formation. See file attached.
- Maths - practise some number formation (see file attached) or some counting, which could be counting steps on their way to bed, counting a handful of beans, etc. over the course of the week.
- If possible also practise reading and writing 5 common exception words per week (see file attached)
