What Chestnut have been up to
Our Trip to Selborne
Last term we went to Selborne to put into practice some of the things learnt in Geography. We made and followed maps, saw some of the wild life that live there and also visited some of the many habitats too. We had fun and learnt a lot too!
Our Exhibition
We invited our parents to see some of our best work done over the Autumn term. Many of our parents attended and they were very impressed by the progress we had made this term already!
Maths
Children have been busy practising their counting skills and learning one more/one less. They particularly enjoyed using equipment to help them with the counting.
We love our practical lessons. Here we are learning to partition numbers to 10.
We also learnt to make 10 using a range of equipment. We even used toys! It was fun!
This term, we also learnt how to count using coins. Here we are counting using 1p. The best part was using our new skills to buy things from our classroom shop!
