Autumn term had a focus on Stone Age Britain. Year 3 took part in what we called 'Miss Narinesingh's Art Studio' - they thoroughly enjoy pretending we are in a different place. Year 3 learned how to 'colour wash' a background, making their own cave backdrop using water colours. The process was messy and fun. Once dried, they then took oil pastels and we laid on the floor under our tables in a darkened classroom. With our backs flat on the floor and our arms stretched up high, we created 'cave drawings' from the shapes and designs we spent weeks working on. They were very proud of what they accomplished. Here are a few examples.
